Lowell Granite Company was founded in 1873 making us the oldest monument company in West Michigan. We’ve been setting memorials in the Greenville area for longer than almost anyone working today, through generations of families and across the cemeteries of Montcalm County. Every cemetery sets its own rules for monument size, material, color, and placement and those rules can even change between sections of the same grounds. Around Greenville you’ll find grounds administered several different ways: Forest Home is run by the City of Greenville, several of the surrounding cemeteries fall under township care, and South Sidney is maintained by its own cemetery association with different grave sizes in its older and newer sections. Because we’ve worked in these cemeteries for generations, we already know their requirements and handle the approval process for you. From a simple flush marker to a fully custom monument, we design and craft every memorial in-house: upright monuments (single, companion, and family); slant, bevel, and flush markers; bronze markers and plaques, including veteran memorials and civic memorials; cremation memorials, benches, and columbarium options; laser etching, and porcelain photo inserts; emblems, florals, and final-date engraving and inscription matching at the cemetery.
